    Ingredients for onion rings:

  • oil for frying
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 big onion
  • 1 ¼ cups flour
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

    Preparation of onion rings

  • Cut the onion into 1 or 2cm-width rings.
  • Add flour, baking powder and salt into a small bowl and stir this ingredients.
  • Coat onion rings with this mixture and set aside. By using a fork, whisk the egg and milk into the flour mixture. Coat the rings again with prepared liquid and put them on a wire rack to drain a little.
  • Pour bread crumbs over the plate and coat the rings again.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and then fry the rings for few minutes until golden color.
  • After frying put them onto the paper towel to drain. Place onion rings on a plate and season with salt. Rings are ready to eat.
