Chips are a potato snack that we associate with US cuisine. They are with us everywhere. They are a hit of school trips and breaks, ideal for house parties and other events, and essential during the meetings with friends. With our recipe, you can make homemade chips in the comfort of your home. Season them the way you like them: with salt, pepper or sweet paprika.

Homemade Potato Chips

  • 5 potatoes
  • sunflower/rapeseed oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • sweet paprika


  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into the thinnest slices, preferably with a peeler. Pour cold water on the slices and rinse them several times – to wash away much of the surface potato starch.
  • Drain off the potato slices and put them on a kitchen towel to dry them for about 20 minutes.
  • Warm up the oil in a deep fryer or deep pot. Fry the slices for about 5 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Drain the ready snacks on a paper towel and sprinkle them with salt, pepper or sweet paprika. Our homemade chips are ready.
