  • 5.5 ounce onion, diced
  • 1 ounce vegetable oil
  • 2 cups of broth or vegetable stock
  • 1 ounce flour
  • 1 ounve sugar for caramel
  • salt
  • vinegar


  • Prepare a roux from oil and flour and then add onions to it. Fry it until it’s golden brown.
  • Add broth or vegetable stock to the mixture.
  • Mix sugar and 2 tablespoons of water to create caramel, which colors the entire mixture.
  • Add spices to taste and cook while often stirring. Our onion sauce is ready.
