Mushroom sauce is one of the most popular sauces of Polish cuisine. It goes perfectly with roasted meats. It is also a great addition to slips and stuffed cabbage leaves. The taste of mushrooms also emphasizes the aroma of venison. Cold mushroom sauce can be used to decorate cured meat.

Ingredients:

  • 0.04 pound dried mushrooms
  • 0.05 pound flour
  • 0.25 pound cream
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pepper

Preparation:

  • Boil mushrooms soaked in water in approx. 250 ml of water. Mix the flour with the cooled stock of mushrooms, bring to boil.
  • Combine with cream and add pepper and salt. Cook for about 10 minutes. You can add a little butter before serving.
