You can buy it but it’s much more tasty, if you prepare it on your own! Pesto is one of the easiest kinds of sauce, so you can simply make it at home. Pesto Sauce fulfill its task well with most dishes: pizza, pasta, chicken, fish, other kinds of meat etc. If you don’t have much time to make this sauce, don’t worry! It only takes 15 minutes to make it. Short, right?

Homemade Pesto Sauce

    Ingredients for pesto sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons walnuts or pine nuts
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves (without stems)
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ½ cup olive oil

    Preparation of pesto sauce:

  • In food processor mix garlic cloves, basil leaves and walnuts/pine nuts very finely. If you don’t have food processor, you can also mix them by using blender or mince/chop garlic finely and crush herbs by using Mortar and Pestle.
  • During mixing add olive oil and mix it again, then add parmesan cheese and stir until smooth. If you’re using Mortar and Pestle, add crushed ingredients to a small bowl, pour olive oil inside and stir until smooth. Pesto Pasta is ready, great job. =)
