Smoked Salmon Sushi

Sushi is one of the most popular Japanese dishes. It is considered as an elegant appetizer with an aesthetic look and amazing taste. The basis of this dish are nori seaweed and rice. For the preparation of sushi, we can use smoked salmon, crab sticks or pickled vegetables. We serve sushi with soy sauce, marinated ginger and wasabi paste.

Ingredients:

  • 0.25 pound smoked salmon
  • rice (for sushi)
  • 1 pack nori seaweed sheets
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • a pinch of salt

Preparation:

  • Prepare the rice according to the instructions on the packaging. Prepare a rice seasoning with a tablespoon of rice vinegar, teaspoon of sugar and pinch of salt. Lightly heat the mixture so that all ingredients combine. Add the mixture to the cooked rice and mix thoroughly.
  • Spread the nori seaweed on a bamboo mat. Put the cooled rice on nori, leaving about 1 cm margin from the top and bottom.
  • Cut the salmon into small strips.
  • Place the salmon pieces in the middle of the rice and wrap the sushi with a mat, pressing lightly. Put ready sushi in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving. Our sushi is ready.
