Meatballs are a great idea for a home-made dinner. Both children and adults love them. Meatballs can be prepared from pork, beef or from a combination of those two types of meat. Ready meatballs go perfectly with a sauce for a roast or dill sauce and mashed potatoes.
Cook time: 10 min
Prep Time: 20 min
500 g pork or beef, minced
4 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon sour cream
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon butter
Pour a roll with milk and leave it for several minutes. Then drain it.
Break an egg into a bowl and mix it with a fork.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add finely chopped onion and fry it.
Add minced meat to a large pot, add the egg, roll, onion, cream and sugar. Season with salt and pepper and add your favorite spices. Mix everything. Make a homogeneous mixture.
Form small meatballs. If your hands are moisten, it will be easier to form the balls.
Boil 2 liters of water, lightly salt it and add bay leaves and allspice. Cook the meatballs for about 5 minutes and then drain them from water.
Add butter in the pan, where you fried the onion. Fry the meatballs for about 5 minutes until they are golden brown on both sides. Our meatballs are ready. They go perfectly with a sauce for a roast.
