The secret to get a juicy and tender meat is the right marinade and baking time. With our recipe, you will create excellent marinated meat. It is best to use pork ham for its preparation. This marinade is easy to prepare and delights with the flavor of sweet paprika. Moreover, the traditional additions from Polish cuisine, such as garlic and juniper, enhance the full flavor of the meat.

  • 1.3 pound pork ham
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon peppercorns
  • several juniper berries
  • 1 garlic clove
  • a pinch of salt


  • Wash the meat thoroughly, divide it into even slices and then dry it.
  • In a deep bowl, mix the spices: sweet paprika, cayenne pepper, whole black pepper, salt, juniper berries. Add a crushed garlic clove and finely chopped parsley.
  • Rub the marinade into each piece of meat. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave it in the fridge for about an hour so that the meat obtains the desired tenderness and amazing flavor.
  • Put the meat in a casserole dish and pour the sauce on it. Put it in the oven set at 190 degrees and bake for about 50 minutes until soft and golden brown.
