Jelly fruit cake is a perfect idea for an uncomplicated dessert. It does not require baking so we can involve children to prepare this fruit delicacy. This healthy cake has a fruity taste and will be an irreplaceable attraction of summer teas, when our yards and orchards abound in fresh fruits.
Cook time: 5 min
Prep Time: 20 min
2 sachets fruit jelly powder
0.2 pound raspberries
0.3 pound grapes
0.2 pound blueberries
1 apple, sliced
The jelly should be prepared according to the recipe on the packaging. It is best to choose an orange or strawberry flavor that goes well with fresh fruits.
Put fruits on the bottom of the cake tin, not too close to save space for the jelly. You can use any fruit, however, pineapples should not be used (they contain an enzyme that makes the jelly thickening process difficult). In this case, raspberries, grapes, blueberries, and apples or sliced pears work best.
Pour fruits with runny jelly and wait until slightly thickened. Put the second portion of fruits and pour jelly again. Leave to thicken.
